International public relations and communications consultancy, BlackHouse Media Group (BHMG), has stayed true to its leading position by emerging the most decorated Nigerian firm at the 2022 SABRE Awards EMEA. BHM was nominated for four campaigns, putting the integrated communications company as the first amongst other Nigerian communication agencies who were nominated.

The global integrated communications company was also announced as a finalist in the Africa Consultancy of the Year category, making BHM the only Nigerian agency to be nominated for the award. This is the second year in a row that BHM will be nominated alongside global heavyweights like BCW (WPP), Clockwork and Edelman.

Every year, the world’s largest international competition in the field of public relations, SABRE Awards, puts a spotlight on the industry’s most outstanding achievements in branding and reputation management, focusing on programs and initiatives that drive practical business impact. This year’s SABRE Awards ceremony will decorate winners at the Guildhall, London, on May 27.

BHMG’s recognition of excellence were in the categories of ‘Capital Markets Communications’, ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’, ‘Crisis Management’ and ‘Africa’. The four nominations were MTN Public Offer, Coca-Cola World Without Waste, Project SafeUp and the issues management work for MTN. Some of the other nominees are Chain Reactions Nigeria, and Redrick Public Relations Limited.

Commenting on the nominations, Founder and CEO, Ayeni Adekunle, says the recognition is “a welcome testament to BHM’s passion for the public relations profession, our people, clients, and the innovation that we believe will lead us into a great future.’’

Founded in Lagos in 2006, BlackHouse Media (BHM) is Nigeria’s leading public relations and reputation management company, providing services in strategic corporate communications, consumer and events PR, crisis communications, research & intelligence, content development, as well as government and media relations.

Since its establishment, BHM has recorded groundbreaking achievements with the publication of multiple research reports and publications, including the Concept of Virality, and the BHM Guide to PR, a 138-page book for professionals interested in Smart PR, and the annual Nigerian PR Report (now the Africa PR and Communications Report).

With its expansion into the European market through the UK, and a recent expansion into West and east Africa through ID Africa, BHM does not show any signs of stopping till it fulfills its globalisation strategy.
